Whether it was dimples on a golf ball or those that rounded out his great smile, Jackson Zinn, 22 years old, could never escape them. He had a bigger-than-life personality and a dedication to the sport of golf that defined him. His strong character was apparent in how he chose to live his life and golf was instrumental in shaping that integrity. It did not matter if he was playing in a collegiate tournament or just hitting the ball around the course with friends and family, if Jackson was on the golf course, it was where he belonged.
Jackson Zinn was living life the way that it was meant to be. On March 15, 2022, he was tragically killed in an accident that took his life and the lives of six of his fellow University of the Southwest (USW) golf teammates, and his coach, when returning to Hobbs, NM from a tournament in Midland Texas.
